I became the Design Editor for the IDMAA Journal in 2004. The new organization needed a smart, dynamic design to compliment their emergent aspirations as a locus for intelligent discussion about digital media education. The conceit of each issue was every author would have their current desktop ‘portrait’ featured as the splash page for their article. This provided a window into the authors mind that a standard bio or portrait could not deliver.
