Movies. We all love them. They are a window to another world full of poignant and whimsical stories that delight, inform and entertain us. The poster for a film is a single compressed frame designed to entice you to see it. They are metaphoric expressions of a visual experience utilizing imagery, typography, concept and celebrity to communication a simple persuasive message — watch this film. Students were asked to design a series of three full-color posters that share a visual approach to three very different films by one director.
